Facing post-school life can be daunting and exciting, or both feelings mixed together. It can be even more overwhelming when you’re planning to be the first in your family to experience life at university. All those feelings and questions can take over and make it feel like just too much – BUT there are ways you can get around that, and ways to answer to some of the questions you have floating around.
All universities host open days for prospective students. It’s a chance to explore your potential university, see student accommodation, take a tour of the campus, see what lecture halls and facilities you may be using, ask questions and so much more. It’s an eye-opening opportunity, even if in the end you decide uni isn’t what you want to pursue.
