USG STUDENT BLOG
Being a country kid that wanted to seek tertiary education the worst thing was knowing I’d have to move away from home to a city. I chose to study at Armidale as it has great agricultural-based courses coupled with some of the best lectures and facilities.
Armidale is such a great size, it’s just big enough to have everything you need, like shopping centres and great services. It’s not too big that you get stuck in traffic for hours or feel like you don’t know anyone.
After living there for only eight months whenever I go shopping or to lunch there is always someone I see that I know.
Living out of town my whole life bought challenges to the new living style of college life. But there’s so many places you can drive just out of Armidale where you can just sit, listen to the silence and feel like you are down the back paddock.
Armidale is a great place that has all the facilities of a big city coupled with the friendliness of a small town.
