Country Education Foundation of Australia national official opening

By February 13, 2020No Comments

The wonderful new Country Education Foundation of Australia (CEF) national office will be officially opened on Thursday 5 March 2020, following a remarkable anonymous donation to the education charity.

The incredible donor support has secured the outright purchase of a small business property in Orange, New South Wales. This will house the national office team, together with like-minded tenants, to serve as a sustainable investment for the organisation moving forward.

“With such extraordinary generosity aside, it is the shared belief in our mission that marks this donation with such significance.  Utilising these funds to purchase our own premises was a logical financial investment in the education of rural and regional Australians and their communities by ensuring our own sustainable future,” said CEF CEO, Juliet Petersen.

This boosts the enthusiastic fundraising efforts of the 44 CEF volunteer-led foundations and its operational management and comes as part of a wave of milestone achievements for the charity education organisation.

2019 was a big year for the not for profit organisation; with the launch of the first Victorian CEF foundation which grew the charity’s footprint to six Australian states and territories, followed by moving into this fabulous new premises, our first Alumni Awards ceremony and bi-annual National Conference.

Plans for this year are already looking strong, with the launch of the 2020 CEF University Survival Guide in February to be followed by this national office launch.

The formal launch will take place on Thursday 5 March 2020 at 52 Hill Street, Orange NSW from 5pm to 7pm.
